IKEA Borrby Lantern, Candle Size?

So I am using the 11" Borrby lantern for half of my center pieces. I am not sure if I should use 3 x 4 pillar candles or 3 x 6? Please help!

    So for these I bought the bigger pillar candles but then my dad cut off and inch or so from the base of them with a scroll saw so that it wouldn't be a fire hazard (see LHeib's comment about the height).

    I saw that on ikea but then the first candle that is suggested with it is a 6" one. I think I'm just going to go with 3x4 to be safe. Thanks everyone
