We got these same blankets for our wedding! We rolled them up and put them in a basket - you can see them in back of the chairs. After our honeymoon we took the extras to our local animal shelter. They're always looking for blankets for the pups!

I’m looking into this for my wedding, did you like the quality? How many did you order and how many were left over? Thanks for the tips!

I thought the quality was fine for a throw. I mean, I LOVE Ikea, but their quality is just fine. You won't wrap a baby in this blanket, but it's sufficient for your guests to use.

We had about 80 guests so we purchased 25 throws. It was only going to be a bit chilly in the low 60s so we figured not everyone would use them and we were right. We wound up donating about 22 of them to the shelter. I'm not sure what happened to the others - they weren't our favors, but of course we were fine if someone took them. Most went unused and a few were rolled up and put back in the basket after the ceremony.

That's a great idea! Human shelter or even animal shelters could use them as donations!

We got these from Ikea for our October beach wedding. They were very nice! Not super heavy, more like a "wrap". They were perfect for the evening by the ocean.
