Idk if i like my dress anymore

Maricarmen, on March 25, 2019 at 11:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
This is my dress. I ordered my dress in January. After I put the deposit down I went home and started second guessing. Idk why! I only tried on about 7 dresses on and this was about the 5th. I felt something the first time I tried it on, I tried on 2 more after it but decided to put it back on and I knew it was it and actually cried. Now I keep looking at it and I don’t really like it anymore. I guess I just needed to vent lol. Hopefully when it arrives I try it on and like it again.

Why exactly are you second-guessing it? Is it because you’ve seen other dresses and now you’re comparing them? I’ve decided to stop watching say yes to the dress because of that reason.

First off, it looks so magical. I also had some off-shoulder stuff happening with my dress, too and I really like how your dress isn't just a white dress. It's got loads of detail and texture, it looks flattering, and looks so elegant and intricate, it's very unique and I hadn't seen this dress before.

Do a quick search of "dress regret" and you'll see you're not alone! What's giving you second thoughts?

I didn't cry when I tried mine on, instead I tried it on every few days to make sure I was still in love with it, for 10 months, all the while I never stopped looking at dresses (we got married last September). So maybe I'm a bit of an over thinker but I can 100% tell you that what you're experiencing is totally normal, it's a big purchase, it's a lot of pressure, and you absolutely loved it when you tried it on!

Remember those feelings you had, and how the dress made you feel.

Once you get the dress and have alterations it’ll begin to come together. If you've only put down the deposit, and if you change your mind, it'll still be okay. You still have some time but you may forget that you ever had doubts!

Hoping for the best for you!

I don’t know. The only thing I can think of is I originally wanted a long train and this one is obviously not that long. Everyone convinced me I will have a bustle anyway so it really didn’t matter but now here I am.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it. I guess I am somewhat of an over thinker too. Hopefully when it arrives I feel the same way again. Your input really brought comfort to me. Thank you!! Congratulations to you by the way.

I think it's beautiful! If you're worried about not having a long train, you could get a cathedral veil for the longer look.

Not a problem! And thanks! I truly miss wedding planning so here I am.

Also if you're worried about not having a long enough train, seamstresses can work wonders! You'd be surprised.

A long train can definitely be made. I would be detachable. Hook it on for the ceremony and photos, then remove it and bustle for the reception

I love that dress. That dress has a pretty decent length train. I think if you add a long veil it may give you the effect you are looking for.
