Ideas for father of the bride gift

I am completely stuck on a gift for my dad. He doesn’t like a lot of the the stereotypical “dad” stuff (golfing, BBQ, sports, fishing). Think nerdy software engineer (I say that with all the love in the world). We are very close but not in the “daddy’s little girl” kind of way. So any of the “I loved her first” or “Of all the walks we’ve taken, this is my favorite” doesn’t fit either of us at all.

Any ideas? Everything I find is so....cheesy. Lol. Thanks!

Get him something that would be meaningful to the two of you or something that he wouldn't buy for himself. You know him best, what are some things that he's brought up over the years that he's never treated himself to

Find something that fits his interests and hobbies. Most couples give parents a photo album of wedding pictures when they are ready.

My dad is hard to buy for and I got him a custom bobble head that looked like him. He loved it! Talked about it for days!

I am very close to my dad, and I was as stymied as you... then DH and I went to the zoo, and I saw little elephant paper weights. My dad is quietly obsessed with elephants... so that's what we got him.
Does your dad have a particular animal or plant that he loves?
