Ideas for ceremony seating on the beach for 200 people

I agree with you, I prefer chairs over standing room. That circular formation is beautiful

My wife initially wanted two rows of chairs for family with health issues that would make it difficult to stand, all others would stand for our ceremony. I was very much opposed and after looking into it, she agreed we should have chairs for everyone. I personally feel anything with 10 or more guests should include chairs, but I do understand this may not work for everyone. I do love that semi circle setup and think it would look great on a beach.

I think this is a great set up for a big wedding and I can see it working in the beach because you won’t need to do 10 rows so it would look smaller than it actually is. I wouldn’t recommend standing because even if is a quick ceremony the wait time before ceremony starts and by the time everyone exits it adds time. I have seeing modern boho style on the beach with some mix match chairs and benches that look fantastic. Another idea is just doing benches. Having a backless furniture makes the space look more open.

Wow that’s a very large wedding for the beach. I would definitely want chairs for people though.

I think for that many people standing room would be difficult because no-one in the back would be able to see, or you would end up with people standing everywhere and blocking some of your photos. I like the semi circle set up. There are tons of ideas on pinterest but the first thing I thought of was trying benches instead of individual chairs (you could still do the semi circles). There are also more unique/creative options like stools or tree stumps.

I have never been to a beach wedding but I have been on the beach in a chair and my main concern would be them slowing sinking into the sand and the guests (possibly grandma) tumbling over. I definitely think you should have chairs but I would question if there needs to be some sort of platform for them to sit on.
