I think I'm nesting!

I think nesting only applies to pregnancy, but I could be wrong. Good luck with the new place!

I totally get what you mean... I've never lived on my own before and so I'm super excited (and nervous) to be out on my own (FH keeps reminding me that its not alone, its with him, lol). I do the same thing when out shopping.

I was like that when I moved out...I bought so much stuff way before all the papers were signed!

I've noticed FH will do it too! We were talking about possibly getting a 2 bedroom apartment so we could have a guestroom (probably not happening, but maybe), and he likes to pick stuff out for the "guestroom" haha. What a goof!

Haha I guess it could be called nesting but if you're nesting then so am I!!! We move in 1 week and I already have new curtains, a rug, new pot and pan set, new shower curtain that took me forever to find as well!! Also I've been taking the pictures of the realty site and copying them into photoshop and 'painting' the walls to try out our paint colors! We have them picked out and finalized and will hit the road running next monday!!!

Congrats on your new place and I think its completely normal (infact probably freaking weird if you aren't) to be so excited that you nest!! haha

When I moved in, I bought an entirely new bedroom set (he had a dresser where 2/4 of the drawers didn't work, one nightstand and a queen bed--which all happily reside in the guest room now--the guest room was entirely empty), picked out curtains for the house, and rearranged/took over the whole kitchen. So, no, you aren't crazy.

I feel ya, I am so excited to move into a house on the base and I been thinking about how to decorate the house. I can't wait to decorate and paint!! I am trying to not have the place be super girly lol, maybe little girly.

But if you're moving in 2 weeks you should be doing more than "pre-decorate". Over the weekend, we bought a few items (including a washer n dryer on sale for 1/2 price that will arrive two weeks before we move!) for our new house. We move before the new year.

It's so fun getting a new place and getting to decorate again... We're had two apartments together, but we got a new apartment after we got married and I was still had a "nesting" phase. I painted, picked out new items for rooms, and spent a few hours planning which room certain paintings and pictures would go in.

I moved into my FS's place and put my house up for sale ...which BTW selling a house in this economy SUCkS....

Anywhoooo...I totally redecorated the guest bathroom already...well...thats cause his skanky ex decorated and thought it would be "cute" decorate it with palm trees.....well...not just a couple of palms trees....but it looked like palm trees threw up in there.....ugh.

So anywho.....you're excited to start fresh and new with your man......there is NOTHING wrong it at all! How exciting!!!!
