Well, ladies, the hunt is over! I went to the HP Spring 2020 trunk show this morning and said yes to the Nelson gown... I put it on and immediately knew it was the one. It was definitely an underdog choice as I had only really been looking at fuller gowns, but I just knew this fit to flare/mermaid gown was going to be stunning. Thank you to all that offered their input over this big journey... I could not be happier with my choice and it looks fabulous with my tattoos! As promised, photos are posted! š
Based on your posts, I'm actually really surprised that's the dress you picked as I would've expected something a little less traditional. However, the dress is gorgeous and it looks amazing on you!

Omg, I am shocked! I 100% did not think you would choose a dress during your first shopping trip! But, as you said, when you put on āThe Oneā... you just KNOW it!! Thanks so much, girl!!! I was really surprised as I had pretty much written off all mermaid/fit and flare gowns but this ended up being the one I loved the most! It is so elegant, mature, and sophisticated! I couldnāt believe how much I loved it!!! And the bottom skirt has the dimension that I love! šššš

I agree! I did try on some unconventional gowns as well but to be honest, seeing them on me I felt like they were a little too much and when combined with my tattoos, it was a lot going on. The Nelson has some uniqueness to the bottom skirt (which I LOVE) while still being mature and elegant. I was pleasantly surprised!

The only other gown I felt was photo-worthy was the Gigi! This was my momās favorite because she thought it was fun, but I just didnāt get the same feel in it as the Nelson. It was a really pretty and unique dress but it was so much fabric and would have been too much for a beach setting, IMO!

I did! It was the first one I tried on and while it was pretty, it wasnāt the one for me. My tattoos looked decent in it but there was SO much fabric and a loooooong train, it just didnāt feel appropriate for the beach! Crazy how your kind changes once you have certain gowns on, but Iām glad I tried it āŗļø
