i said yes to the dress!!

Yippeeeee!!! I found my wedding dress!! 🥳🥳 I had been to several bridal boutiques and tried on alll silhouettes, I did have a style in mind and was lucky enough to find what I was looking for at a couple places, but I went in with an open mind to trying on things that were out of my comfort zone because you never know! They were all pretty, and I liked them....but I didn’t LOVE them, there was an element missing in each one and I didn’t want to settle until I got the “feeling” WELLLLLLLL.....I went to Your Bridal Couture in Orlando, Fl (ALONE) and pulled 6/7 dresses to try on including one that looked “interesting” but it was strapless (not what I was going for) so I tried on 4 dresses before trying that one on, and when I put it on....IT HAPPENED!!! That feeling I had been waiting for! I saw myself in the mirror and had to fight back tears! It was COMPLETELY different than anything I imagined for my wedding dress, but I loved it and didn’t want to take it off! I was lucky enough to buy it off the rack and take it home with me that day, so I can try it on anytime I want! Smiley smile I’m keeping it at my MOH’s house, so I probably won’t actually be trying it on all the time! Lol (maybe)

    Congrats that’s so exciting!! I’m going for the first time on Friday with my maid of honor who is my best friend of 20 years! Thanks for sharing this, this makes me want to go in there and try on all different types of dresses instead of just having one style in mind!

    I went alone because I lost my mother a year and a half ago.
    I chose several dresses I liked the look of.
    I had no idea what I would look best in. I tried on 5 dresses. I kept going back to the first two..
    Tried on the first one agajn, it was not as I remembered it. Tried on the second one and I felt the presence of my mama telling me this was the one.
    I had that feeling that this is me.
    So long story short... I got my dress the first day I went shopping at the first store I tried and it was the 2nd dress I tried on.

    Aww that’s so amazing. I definitely felt my mom’s presence too. (she died when I was 16)

    Ahhh congratulations. I went with my mom, two sisters and my niece and nephews. I was set on a custom dress but my mom still wanted the experience of seeing me try on dresses and I can’t lie I also wanted that experience with her. I also wanted to see which shaped looked good on my body. The third dress I tried on everyone’s jaw was on the floor and I too didn’t want to take it off. The designer was there and he left another customer to come to me. I knew that was the dress. It wasn’t custom, wasn’t poofy like I had initially wanted and it was PLAIN which is really shocking because I’m an outrageous out of the ordinary type of girl lol.

    Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! You know exactly how it feels, it’s hard thinking that she never got to meet the man of my dreams and that she won’t be there to share the day I’ve always dreamt of...but I know without a doubt her spirit will be there. And your mom’s too! Hugs to you!
