i picked my own ring and i love it, but i had a fleeting thought and now it’s all i can see.

So I chose my own ring, the budding willow from Brilliant Earth. It is beautiful and representative of the fact that my fiancé and I love hiking/nature. But I had a fleeting thought the other day that from some angles it looks quite phallic. Now it’s all I can think about and it’s kind of ruining what should be an amazing time in my life.

I guess I'm just hoping you guys can tell me I’m being crazy... I’m also PMSing so I’m hoping my fixation will die down once that’s done haha.

    Your ring is beautiful and I tried to see what you’re seeing and I just can’t. It’s just a lovely ring, I think if you take a step back and think about everything you love about it and how excited you are to begin your life with your FS you’ll feel better.

    I agree, your ring is very beautiful. I don't see anything remotely phallic about it. Sometimes we get up in our heads about things and we start obsessing (been there done that), but I promise you I don't see that at all Smiley smile

    Your ring is so beautiful & unique! I think you might just be stressed & overthinking.

    If over time it continues to still be a problem for you, check out some wedding bands! Some wedding bands can make your ring look completely new!
