i messed up the invitations... help!

Mrs., on March 18, 2019 at 11:48 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

So we dropped the invites in the mail this morning. For whatever reason, I looked at our invites after the fact and saw that the address on the invite is wrong by one number. It incorrect address leads towards our venue, but will stop the guests short from our venue. They MIGHT be able to see our gate open from the address they were given, but we can also set out signs to direct them up. I updated our website and wrote about the correct address, but am worried not everyone will check out site in depth.

I understand it might be inconvenient for people, but what would you propose is the easiest and most effective way to inform people of this? Email blast? Text each individual and hope they'll remember to plug in the correct address in the GPS?

I personally would call or text each person so they are aware. Its the easiest way, at least in my mind lol

I agree with Emily. I would reach out to be people as the RSVPs coming.

Try not to fret too much. If it makes you feel better I messed up the date on my RSVP cards (way early than it should be Smiley xd ). At a certain point, you just need to laugh it off, say oh well, and just roll with it.

Been texting the few that we handed out personally who have already RSVP'd, but I'm guessing I might have to send a reminder like week of the wedding maybe?

I know it happens, but I'm just kicking myself for not checking it close enough! Happens to the best of us though haha

I'm the type of person who would stress about this to no end. I'd drop postcards in the mail with the correction so they receive it a few days after the invite. They can keep it in the envelope with their invitation for when they travel to the wedding.

I am so sorry you realized this too late! I did a similar thing but I wrote 37 as the street address instead of 27... luckily I caught it right before we ordered them, but I can't even imagine how stressful this must be.

I would wait now, but reach out to your guests individually when they RSVP "yes" and just let them know.

I would definitely send out a mass email or something.
