Pump the breaks! Make SURE you do some self-care. Table the planning to the back burner for at least one evening, and do what makes you happy/relaxed. Also, try to identify the specific stressors that are an issue, some time OTHER THAN self-care time [which should be a wedding free zone]. If you can ID the stressors, what can you do to reduce it? Can you ask someone to help you, or to take something else off your plate so you can focus on the source of the stress in isolation? In the end, it is one day... so breathe. It will be beautiful and special, even if everything is not perfect.

What are you having breakdowns over? If you’re too overwhelmed, take a break from planning. Try doing whatever you usually like to do for fun/relaxation - go out with your friends, go to a spa, read a book, watch your favorite movie ... etc.

I don't know either one of you ladies what you both are going do is think about the real reason you are getting married because you love your partner. Marriage is not perfect so you wedding day will not be perfect either. No matter how hard we try to plan the perfect day. If it finances do what you can afford to do .If that means revisting and rebudgeting. If it not the person you are marrying voicing their opinion. everyone else opinions are irrevelant. If you need help ask for it your not superwoman you still have a life outside of planning a wedding. And if it is making you physically sick walk away from wedding planning for a while. Sending hugs and positive vibes💖💖

You have time! Take some time for yourself! Your profile says your wedding is August 2019 so you definitely have time to pause planning and worry about your mental health.

Not trying to steal your thread latonia. Your post was the first one I saw when I logged into the forums.

Thanks everyone for the sound advice. I’m just stressed because our AC in our house is broken, we have 2 leaks in our roof, my fiancé was pestering me about a rip in his leather car seats, and then our venue called us today (it’s a resort) that they ran out of rooms for our room block and they will have to put our guests on a waiting list. So basically tomorrow I have to call hotels to get a room block somewhere close by. And then possibly have to think about transportation to & from our venue so people don’t drink and drive. I’m seriously about to lose my mind. But I will take your all’s advice and take the night off from planning and handle it tomorrow. So glad I can come here to vent.

Bring out the bridezilla episodes, drink a glass of rose or red Moscato and take a break from wedding planning. And I take these natural supplements that keep me calm from Hum Nutrition for those days I know I may get irritated
