i Haven't worn make-up in 10 years!

Fany, on July 16, 2020 at 12:27 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 15
I worke makeup ONE time in my life, which was for a group date my freshman year of university. Since then, I haven't worn any. My mom has been pressuring me to wear it for my wedding but I'm not sure if I want to. Almost every woman I see with makeup on looks so artificial. I've googled thousands of looks and so far I only like two or three. The makeup artist sent me the last bottom picure and I thibk the look is wayyyy too artificial and that makeup would get on my husband's clothes when I hug him. Which ones do you like? i Haven't worn make-up in 10 years! 1

#2 is cute. You could always ask for a natural look, you don't have to get anything dramatic.

I like the second look. But you don’t have to wear makeup if it makes you uncomfortable.

I also like the second option!

by the way, if you wanted to go completely natural i think that's fine

i don't wear make up either and for my wedding day i still didn't. i wanted to be comfortable and still be myself, and this is how he knows me as.

If you're used to a bare face, I say stick with that because you'll be the most comfortable. Maybe pick just one item that will help you feel a little more dressed up - lipstick, mascara or false lashes, blush, etc.

I like the second one. But I think if you don't like or dont ever wear makeup then don't. Its your day and if wearing makeup isn't you then why do it? But if wearing makeup is the way you wanna go then go for it, it is whatever makes you happy and feel the most beautiful. I don't wear makeup except for eyeliner and mascara so thats all I plan on wearing for my wedding.

I like the second look, however , if you don’t normally wear makeup you will want to ask for something very subtle. Maybe just play up one thing like your eyes and not lips and cheeks or vice versa. Just explain to your MUA that you don’t want to look made up and I’m sure they will do what you ask. I definitely recommend doing a trial ahead of time to make sure you like. And at the end of the day if you prefer no makeup then go for it. It’s your day!!!

The second is more natural and soft, whereas the third is definitely more dramatic (whilst still being simple) and less diffused. I personally love #3, but #2 is a close second. I will say - if you don't want to wear makeup, don't. It's your wedding, so it's your choice. If you feel most comfortable or like yourself without makeup and wearing it will fill your mind with anxiety the day-of, skip it! That's totally okay to do if you're not completely comfortable. You're going to have obsessive thoughts (how to hug someone without getting makeup on them, not feeling like yourself, etc.) and worry the day-of if you're not completely comfortable. You want to be able to enjoy your day, so if wearing makeup will interfere with that then you should skip it. You could do a trial and attempt to see how you'll do by practicing hugging people and what not? That might help you make a decision. Anywho, best of luck to you guys. You're going to be beautiful either way! ❤️

I wouldn't do make up at all if you don't wear it. You still need to be you on your wedding day. You fiance fell in love with a makeup free girl and guess what he is marrying a make up free girl! Do what makes you happy and feel comfortable, don't loose yourself Smiley heart

Don’t let anyone pressure you into wearing makeup! If you feel good without it (or with minimal makeup) that’s what you should do.

I’m not a huge makeup wearer either. I do wear it sometimes, but rarely, and when I do it’s very, very simplistic and subtle. I didn’t want to be totally made up on my wedding day like most brides... I felt like that wouldn’t even look like me! I did my own makeup and I did it so I just looked like a more enhanced version of myself, but wasn’t caked in heavy foundation or fake eyelashes or anything. Nothing against people who do that, but, it just wasn’t me!

If you don't want to wear makeup then don't, but if you decide that you want to then I picked something simple and natural looking rather than dramatic and bold. I think the second one looks very pretty.

This bride went make-up free and some relatives wouldn't take pics with her.

Good for her! Those relatives are crazy. The people in your life should support you and want to celebrate with you, no matter what you choose to put (or not put) on your face. You do you!

If you truly don't want to wear makeup, you don't have to. It's all up to you & what you want. If you choose to try it, do a more natural look so that it's only to enhance your features, not mask anything.

I've only worn makeup twice in my life - prom & graduation, I just don't have the time nor energy, but I will wear it for my wedding. I'm not too comfortable with caked on makeup, but it'll be light & natural.
