I have pityriasis rosea

M&MPALMER7, on October 10, 2016 at 8:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Less than 3 months before my wedding and my skin breaks out in this horrible itchy untreatable rash. It's supposed to go away on its own in 6-8 weeks. Anyone else deal with this?

I have rosacea mainly on my cheeks. It's really dark red. I've been using metronidazole and am hoping it belps. I haven't found anything so far that does.

Did you have the classic herald patch?! Or did you have the christmas tree pattern on your back? This is very common in children and uncommon in adults. Interesting...

I get it on my neck and chin. It happens when I am super stressed. My dermatologist told me to use cetaphil or cerave product.

I got herald patch on my temple. Almost gone now. Doc gave me antiviral med. I'm young (23) so it's not that uncommon for my age group apparently. I just hope it heals before my wedding.

I had this years ago! It started off as a few patches then before I knew it, it was all over my back and stomach. Honestly, it took many months for it to go away. My dermatologist said that the only option I really had was to ride it out. Just keep using that cream they give you for it. Sorry you are dealing with this and good luck Smiley sad

Like EventuallyErmon, my mom uses cetaphil.. I personally don't have any experience with it but she does...

I had that a few years ago. Mine looked a lot better after a week or two but it took a while for it to completely go away. They gave me a prescription for atarax and it was a life saver. Good luck!

I *think* I have a herald patch on my chest. Its been there for about 4 days. I get married in two weeks. Im praying this is just ringworm that will go away with monistat. PLEEEASE let it be that. Otherwise, the timeline for this virus means Im going to break out in the full rash just before my wedding. I'll be wearing my near strapless dress covered in what looks like chicken pox for my wedding, and be going on a cruise on my honeymoon with the fricken plague. WHAT THE FUUUUUUUDGE????

Jessica, start tanning now. Tanning is the only thing that got rid of it before my wedding.

Thanks! No spots yet. It may just be ringworm though the antifungal isnt helping. Ughh. I'll just have to wear makeup and deal with it afterward. I get married on Friday
