i hate my altered wedding dress!! 😭

I’m only 5’1 and ill be wearing 3” heels. People were right, princess gown is not for short bride! 😭 Im thinking of changing the neckline to kinda DEEP V just so i can look/feel more fit.


I originally planned on getting cathedral length veil — now im switching to fingertip just so It wont make me look shorter. 😭😭 I cant be excited anymore for this dress honestly

    Practically every woman is very critical of how they look and don't see themselves as beautiful at all. But believe us when we say you look amazing!! You do not look short or chubby or any of those things.

    You look lovely! but in case you want something slimmer, i have a dress that fits up to 5' 4" that is an aline that i am trying to sell of bc it's too big on me! i hate my altered wedding dress!! 😭 1

    Could you take out some of the layers? I agree, the neckline may help out some too.

    I also didn’t have a great first fitting but that is because they aren’t done yet. My next fitting was a little better but Friday is my final fitting and I know it’ll be great! You look beautiful! You don’t look chubby at all. You’ve got very slender arms. Smaller than mine and a lovely bodice. You will look beautiful on your wedding day!

    You look beautiful! Maybe you were just having an off day! (We all have them and probably more frequently with Covid) Were you wearing your shoes in the pic? Also...is there a crinoline underneath that perhaps was really fluffed out & could be more minimized for better movement of the dress?

    You look stunning! I’m a petite bride as well and I understand your concern. You can try to wear a pair of wedges or platform to make you look taller. Or you can simply ask your photographer to take many photos of you from a lower angle so you look taller in photos.

    This dress is stunning on you!! I agree with the comment about removing some of the lining if you feel like that's too much to make it more of an A-line. I surely feel like the heels will help give you some height Smiley smile STUNNING!

    I'm the same height as you and I had similar concerns about the dress making me look even shorter. I thought I wanted a strapless dress, but when I tried them on, I realized that the boxy shape of the bodice made me look...well...boxy. Adding straps to your dress would make your torso look longer and get rid of that boxy shape.

    Also, you could probably have the seamstress remove a few layers of crinoline to reduce the volume in the skirt. That would change the silhouette from a ballgown to a more flattering A-line.

    I also thinks it looks GREAT! That being said they may be able to take out some of the fluff to slim it down a little if you are worried.
