i hate all the dresses...help!

Sine, on November 23, 2021 at 9:11 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
I just really can't find any dress I like. Being plus size...and my fiance bought a $400 suit for our elopement...everything seems either too formal or not weddingy enough for an elopement. Any one else with this issue??? What should I do?

There are many plus size designers. You can also have something made just for you by a local seamstress. Have you looked at Azazie or Cocomelody?

I looked at cocomelody but they all seem like too much for an elopement. There will be 6 people there and we are going to a Resturant for lunch. I like the dresses...they don't seem right. Make sense? I think I'm just nuts.

Azazie is much more affordable. If you want something less formal take a look at Lulu's or Baltic born. There's have plus sizes. If you start looking online for white dresses, nevermind the bridal part, you might find something just right for your elopement.

Take a look at local department stores: Nordstrom Rack, Macy’s, Dillards, etc.

Just look for a wedding dress. Stop thinking of it as an elopement dress or worrying about the formality.

I went to a bunch of salons and David's Bridal 6 times. They have a lot of cute tea length dresses that could work.

Torrid has a few wedding dresses that they sell that are super affordable. And since all they do is plus size clothing, normally their clothes fit better than the plus section of a store that usually focuses on regular sizes.

I agree with Willow though that you should focus less on the formality and more on finding a dress you like. I have a super sparkly ballgown and we're having a barn wedding, but I liked the dress so who cares if it "fits"?

Try Kiyonna. They have beautiful clothes made for us curvy girls. They have a bridal section with cute dresses that aren't for a big wedding.

Lulu's has plus size wedding dresses as well! Smiley smile I was actually considering buying a simple wedding dress from there if my husband and I decided to elope. But Azazie definitely has SO MANY styles lol.

Being plus size does make it more difficult to find dresses I think so it's hard to find a dress in the first place. I would find a dress that you like and don't worry about if it seems ok for elopement or not. Just find one you like and feel comfortable in and you'll feel great on the day.
