Dedicated October 2019

i guess I’m the only who cares I’m getting married!

I think I need to vent, I’m getting very irritated and stressed because people are acting like October is 6 months away. My best friend doesn’t remember me giving her her invitation and she doesn’t know who her plus one is and my FMIL hasn’t even looked for her dress yet. I’m trying to finalize and get the little things out the way so in September I can relax into becoming a wife but they are making it so freaking hard to get things done and I bet they’re going to be running around in September. Maybe I’m PMSing but I’m irritated, feel like a bridezilla and wanna 😢.

Have you told either of them that you are feeling frustrated? I would maybe tell your FMIL that you really think it’s time that she look for a dress and maybe the 2 of you can go shopping together (if you have that type of relationship). As far as your best friend and her plus one, if she does not give you a name by the RSVP cut off, just don’t let her bring one. I understand your frustrations, I’m getting married the day after you and sometimes I feel like my FFIL thinks you can plan a wedding in 1 day lol. Try not to stress and be as open about your feelings & frustrations as possible with everyone!

It’s way to early for RSVP to be all in. My wedding is September 28 I will probably not see his moms dress till the wedding. I get being stressed but I would try to let go a bit.

Most moms walk Down. You know the bridesmaid is coming. If you know she has a plus one why worry who. My wedding is September 28 i still have people to RSVP.

I'm sure your FMIL will show up in suitable attire, so it's really up to her to decide when to buy it (or whether to wear something she already owns). Your best friend apparently knows she's invited even if she doesn't remember the invitation, and you know she's coming with a plus one (which is all you need for the caterer). Why stress about either of these things?

I'm also an October bride...I get it. I'm doing everything, no one else has even offered to help. I've asked for help but I mostly just get excuses. Hard since i'm always the first one to help

Just take a step back and relax. In reality- no one is going to be as excited as you and your other half. It's your big day- not theirs.

FMIL will be there and dressed. It doesn't matter what she wears or when she buys it. Theres plenty of time yet.

Best friend is coming with a plus 1. Why does it matter who it is?

Neither of these decisions are yours to make so why waste time fretting?
