I gained weight since I bought my dress...

Wedding isn't until June...can I be doing alterations all the way up until the big day? I gained about 25 pounds (I gain and lose very quickly, so could be down in a couple months).

    Before you do alterations try and lose the weight first..... Run twice a day for thirty minutes and drink lots of water.... Thats how I keep my weight in check...

    I would wait and get your alterations done less than a month before the wedding.

    But I'd be really concerned if you gained 25 lbs in that short a time frame! Are you sure there is nothing medical going on? That's not normal.

    I'd be starting a diet and exercise program NOW! And stick with it! Otherwise, you'll be buying another dress. That much weight is about 2 sizes. Your dress won't even fit, and can't be let out that much.

    Do the alterations 2 months before the wedding and maintain that wait

    @KittenPurrFace - I gain and lose really quickly too so I totally understand. A wedding is a great motivator so like the others said I would wait until a month out before doing anything to the dress.

    I too gain and lose quickly I found that HerbaLife is awesome and I eat raw fruits and veggies like crazy as well as drink alot of milk and water tho milk is my preference. I am trying to balance gaining weight for the baby but not so much that I look like a beached whale for my wedding 2-3 weeks later.

    Also check out Tim Ferris book called 4 Hour Body, he talks a great deal about Slow Carb Diet, and people swear they have lost a significant amount of weight in short period of time, but that means no white carbs, no potatoes, no rice, no pasta, no sugar, no fruits, but you get one cheat day a week where you can eat whatever you want. That actually helps you loose weight, and fight off cravings. FS and I started this diet over the weekend, and I've lost a pound already and for me that's an improvement since I have been stuck at a certain weight for a long time. And I'm hoping to see more changes by next weekend. Good luck!
