i Feel Bad!

So originally, we had planned to have our wedding 2 years ago, but life happened and my entire house had to be remodeled. On a whim this past February, we decided to have our wedding Jun 2nd (this coming Sunday). Originally, we were going to have a wedding party, but this time around, we opted out to keep the wedding simple and small. Originally, I had asked a high school friend of mine to be a bridesmaid...over the last couple of years we lost touch...we haven't seen or talked to each other....nothing against each other, it's just life. Well, for this wedding we kept it small, no wedding party and I didn't invite her. I ran in to her at an appointment and she asked me "wasn't the wedding supposed to be a couple of years ago?" I panicked and said with the house we had to postpone everything. I made no mention that it's in 4 days and i feel bad for not inviting her now and I would feel even worse for sending an invite a few days before the wedding....we're FB friends, so I don't know what to do....ugh!

I'd explain to your friend that you have decided on a very small wedding. Let her know she isn't being snubbed!

Considering that your lives have gone in different directions, I would imagine that she would understand why she’s not going to be a part of your big day. Just in case, send her a Facebook message & let her know, “Hey, I just wanted to give you a heads up that I’m getting married! We opted to do a very small, intimate event. I just wanted to let you know before you saw it on Facebook. We should get together soon & catch up over coffee or drinks to celebrate! Hope you’re well!” (Or something along those lines.) That way she knows that it’s nothing personal & that you still care about her. Smiley smile
