i don’t want a maid of honor?

Allie, on August 29, 2018 at 1:23 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
My fiancé is going to have a best man, but I don’t persobalky want a maid of honor. I don’t get along wit my older sister so she’s really just in the bridal party because I don’t want to start drama, and I don’t want to choose between my two best friends and hurt everyone else’s feelings. Did anyone else just have bridesmaids?

I'm having only bridesmaid while he will have a best man. I don't want to deal with choosing a MOH from my bridesmaid so they will all be BMs, lol.

I don't have a maid of honor or a bridal party. This is completely up to you. There is nothing that says you HAVE to have one.

I think it's totally fine! I'd just be okay with the fact you may not have a bachelorette party or bridal shower since that's a lot to take on for a BM or confusing as to which BM will plan those things (since a MOH usually does).

You can do whatever you want! If you're not comfortable choosing one, don't. Smiley smile

I have six BMs and no MOH. It's totally fine. FH opted not to make his brother his best man, but I don't think it would have been weird if he had.

I'm just having bridesmaids. I dont want a shower or bachelorette party so I didnt see the point in picking one best friend over another best friend when it doesnt really have any other responsibilities for my wedding.

I had 3 bridesmaids and no MOH because I couldn't choose one over the other. They all worked well together to plan the couple's shower they threw for us and the bachelorette party where they took me out for a day at the spa and dinner.

I will be having 5 bridesmaids and no MOH. One of them already said she wants to do the main planning for the bachelorette party and anyone who wants to can help her with the planning. They will just be guests at my bridal shower because my aunts and a couple close family friends have already offered to host my shower(s).

I was just in my BFF's wedding, and she had both me and her other BM titled as Maids of honor lol. she's known us both equally long and we have both been equally there for her. She ended up choosing who'd walk with the best man based on our height, since the other girl is wayyy taller than me, just like the best man. (i was so much more comfortable walking with her brother anyway, as he's only a year younger than us, so we kind of grew up together too, so that was a lot of fun actually)
