Any of you coronabrides just over this? Phase 5 (groups of over 50) aren't being allowed til after a vaccine is developed. We pushed back 7 months. Have a date and theme we are pumped about. And I dont wanna let it go.

At this point, I think cancelling is the best idea if we have to postpone again. (We eloped on our original date.)

    Congrats on your elopement!💕

I can understand where you are coming from, especially since you are married now 😁 I have basically already decided if I have to postpone again, we are cancelling the DW. The thought of planning a wedding for 4+ years just is ridiculous, for my Situation and life. By the time the new date comes I’ll be at 3 years planning and stressing. That’s plenty for me lol. I will wear my dress somehow!

I know it is disappointing but I would ask you how important is it to have the big wedding? If you are okay with a small wedding then I would say do not cancel. I know it sucks to have corona knock your plans for a loop but I say even having a smaller version of your day you will love.

This pandemic is tough! We recently postponed our 10/10/20 destination wedding to next October. So I understand. In our case, there were a number of factors that led to the decision. However, if our wedding was local, we would have moved forward with it. But since you already postponed once, I’d keep the guest list of 49 total and have the wedding.

What state are you in? in NY there are only 4 phases and phase 4 is gatherings. they havent released capacity size yet. They also didnt say anything about vaccines since we don’t truthfully know for sure if there will ever be a vaccine. I think you could do a small ceremony with however many are allowed in the phase you’re in if you don’t want to postpone

Illinois. We have thr strictest guidelines.

We already had our 10 person ceremony. We wanna celebrate with our friends. And 50 people doesn't even cover our close family. 😑

Fellow Illinois Fall (9/6) bride here! With the way numbers are going right now, I’m really hoping Pritzker will make changes to the number of people allowed at gatherings. I was rereading the reopening plan the other day and there is wording in phase 4 about “gatherings of less than 50 people but limits are subject to change” or something along those lines. For now, we’re just keeping our fingers crossed that we can have everything as planned on 9/6 and not our backup date in July 2021 🤞

I'm so sorry Mandi! I can only imagine what this relentless emotional roller-coaster is like!

If the big party with your friends is now your #1 priority then I'd think about rescheduling for a much later date instead of trying to reduce and modify your current plans. But it's totally up to you! Make sure to give yourself some time to emotionally settle and feel out Plan B before making final decisions, and try to find a way to vent it out this weekend! Smiley heart
