It’s gorgeous but I absolutely see where they cut off the beautiful lace detailing in the first picture. I’d make them fix it if you can.

I think what happened is there's less blank space, for a lack of a better term. Bringing the hem up leaves less fabric draping. So it kind of removes some of the separation of lace. You don't look like a midget. You look beautiful!

I think your dress is beautiful and it looks great on you, however, your seamstress could have done a better job at keeping the lace details in the bottom.

You look GORGEOUS! This dress is beautiful!

It looks like they sewed the lace completely to the under-fabric on the bottom of the gown, instead of leaving it to 'float' freely like it did in the first picture. It definitely looks different, not bad mind you, but I would definitely talk to the seamstress if it's bothering you!
Otherwise, you look stunning in that dress, and I'm sorry you're having alterations issues!
