I don't like my dress anymore UPDATE in comments

Becky, I had it on 2 weeks before. That was the first time I had the real dress on. It was too large because I had lost some weight since March when they took my measurements.

When she started putting needles everywhere to tighten it, I thought it was looking great. My guess is the seamstress didn't tighten it enough.

Unfortunately I don't have pics from 2 weeks ago, from when I still liked it, to compare.

Cass, maybe they could sew in some pearls instead of the ribbon, although I don't dislike the ribbon. It does annoy me a bit though that the ribbon is kind of popping out of the dress, in the middle

I think if you were to add some bling right at the bottom of the V and top it off with a blinged out veil and some nice jewelry, it would really bring the whole dress together!

I love the back! It looks like the dress just needs to hug you a little more. Can it be taken in?

I love the back, but I don't think the front is flattering. The dress looks like it needs a deeper V in the front because it looks like it's pulling.

Here is a picture of my dress which has a deeper V and a lot of bling (just to give you a visual). You can see the back in the mirror.

@NextMrsD, thank you, I agree. I will ask about changing the neckline and also do something about the waistline to show some more curves. Yours is perfect, that's exacly what I would like on the waist and hips

Karissa, I am not sure if bling is my thing. Maybe some pearls. What really concerns me about this dress is the shape in the front. I need to see more curves

I would take it to a seamstress and see what they can do ASAP. It's possible they could rework it to show off more curve by taking it in where the waist and hip join.

I think you have some options. You could add a brooch or a beaded appliqué to or under the bust--it will draw attention to your waist, creating an illusion of more curves. You could also add more fabric around the waist, ruched and wrapped around to draw more attention there and, again, create the illusion of more curves. You can also have a seamstress rework a belt to the shape of the empire waistline and sew it on to cover the pink band.

Lastly, just to take away from the feeling of the gown being "like a nightgown" as you feel it looks, you can add to the straps with some beaded appliqués or some hanging beading to add a little extra pizazz that won't over-bling the dress too much.

Personally I think it's a beautiful gown and looks great on you but I do understand that no matter what other people say, if you don't like it, that's not going to change the way you feel. So I feel for you, OP. I think you DO have options and you have some time to alter the gown to your liking before you're SOL. You deserve to love your gown, so I'm hoping you find a feasible solution that you like!

I don't love the underboob detail but the shape looks beautiful on you!

I went there again and now it’s a bit tighter and it looks totally different, I like the dress again. We also tried on a band with pearls on top of the pink ribbon and I think I will go for it.

I will not lower the neckline, I am very tall and everyone will be staring at my boobs when they greet me. The only change it needed was the tightening on the waist and hips.

It’s not a glamorous dress, maybe an A line or pronovias would have made me happy too, I am sure there are a thousand prettier dresses out there but I chose this one and I am happy with it again and soooo relieved.

WOW bringing it in made a huge difference! I went through this with my dress. It just wasn't tight enough on the waist. Beautiful. So happy for you!
