Start with s Pinterest board for wedding ideas. Also set a budget so you know what your working with then start searching venues in your area.

Welcome & breathe! First big decisions for you & your beloved:

    1) budget, 2) estimated guest list, 3) venue. The rest becomes easier once you figure those out.

Figure out your budget first and foremost. Analyze what you and your fiance can actually spend to pay for your wedding. Then, think of your guest list, and start looking at venues that reflect your budget and your guest count.

You got this girl! I was so overwhelmed at first but now I feel like I got it all handled. You have to get your venue first before booking any other vendors. Come up with a feel of what you want so you know if you want church outdoors beach banquet hall. Then you need a rough guest list so you know how big of a venue you need. Extra tip our guest list came in 50 people bigger than we originally anticipated so if it only holds what you have on your list now make sure your venue holds more. It’s better to have a bigger space and a smaller guest list than have to cut out aunt Linda cuz you don’t have enough room. Next is the budget so you know how much of a venue you can afford and how many of people you will need to feed. All the other vendors cost the same no matter how many people you invite. So do your base budget off of number of people for food wise. Good luck! Pinterest is your best friend in getting ideas. Don’t stress yourself out too much. And don’t get upset if your SO doesn’t like to help with planning. Most men don’t care about half the wedding choices!

Just have fun and relax! Start with making a list. Set a budget, #of people, get a venue, then the other big vendors, go dress shopping asap! After all the big things are done you'll be left with save the dates, invites, and decor. Just break it all down to small parts and it's less stressful. Anns bridal bargains has great prices for stuff along with simply to impress, and cards and pockets. Have fun!

Welcome and congrats! Wedding planning can be stressful but just breathe and do one thing at a time. Look at wedding wires checklist. I printed it out and have it in my home office. It gives you a timeframe and what you should be booking a year out, 9 months out and so on. It's handy.

Thank you ladies for all the advice. I made the guest list, I go dress shopping tomorrow, and I’m set on a budget. However I’m not really having luck in the venue department. I want to do an outdoor wedding that has a really rustic feel. I saw a few clear tent ideas on Pinterest that I really liked. Idk 😐 I think I need a planner.
