i don't feel like a real bride

I am actually married.. , but without wedding and ceremony. My husband is from another country and we difficulty could meet each other. We were engaged , but we decided to get married without any guests , just us we signed papers and that's it. It was like normal day. Honestly I was so sad and i couldn't even pretend that I am happy. I didn't feel like i've just got married. He promised me to make a wedding party, but I don't feel like a real bride , because I am already married. Is it stupid to make a wedding party two years after you got married?

    People have receptions or vow renewals after their ceremonies all the time, definitely not stupid.

    No not at all! I think people will be extremely understanding considering the situation. Many are legally getting married and throwing their reception later. You can still walk down the aisle and say your vows!

    Hi Paula! I have several friends who've needed to do a quick courthouse wedding because of visa timelines! They still planned a full ceremony and reception - just on a more flexible timeline.

    You should definitely plan a vow renewal or wedding party to finally celebrate your marriage!! Smiley heart
