i Don't Even Like Beer

Mandi, on February 18, 2020 at 3:02 AM Posted in Planning 0 6
Sometimes I'm under the impression that places are screwing with me.

I called the local beer store a few weeks ago. They told me to order 6 ish weeks in advance.
I went in tonight. Suddenly I'm super early. Granted I'm ordering Bud Light kegs, and I'm close enough to the brewery that I could have clydesdales deliver it the day of the wedding. I wouldn't, but it'd be doable. So I tell this lady where I want the beer delivered. Suddenly, they don't deliver there. So now I have to go in the night before and load 130# kegs into a truck. Deliver them myself. And get them upstairs in my venue? Are you kidding!?! My fiance thinks there is a freight elevator. So that's nice. I need to double check. But why...I'm just annoyed.I feel like once I get like 10 things under control, the next thing decides to derail.

Oh no!!! Maybe get the groom and groomsmen to tackle this task for you? I feel the same way though! Someone tells you something and then changes the story the next minute. Hang in there! You're so close!! Smiley smile

I would not be loading any kegs anywhere, my H would be doing that with his groomsmen. Those things are crazy heavy & I don't drink beer either.

I lift weights. Fiance does not. Fiance also doesn't drink beer. The whole situation is not beneficial to either of us.

Get sixtels instead of half kegs, typically cheaper and lighter! (I manage a brewery). And if neither of you really like beer you don’t need as much.

Is this the only place you can get alcohol in town? If so, I would definitely see if you can outsource this to a kind friend or family member if that's an option. If there is no freight elevator, I'd 86 the kegs altogether. I know it's cheaper, but I'm not sure it'd be worth hauling kegs up stairs the night before your wedding.
