I'm a romantic, but I'm not a cryer. I thought all the ladies on Say Yes To The Dress were just acting for the cameras. I honestly cannot explain it. I didn't cry in front of my entourage, but the minute I hit that dressing room tears rolled down my cheeks. I absolutely have no doubt that my gown is...

I didn't cry when I went the first time (My mom did, a lot), but when I went back by myself to try it on again and bought my veil, I definitely got emotional. That's when it became real for me! I know they always say the veil makes it on SYTTD, and that was so accurate!

My first go-round at finding a dress last year, I didn't cry. Due to some weight issues, I had to find a new dress this year. But let me tell you, this one feels right. More right than the one from last year by a mile. They dimmed the lights with me in this new dress, letting some spotlights catch the sparkles. I definitely got teary. Not full out crying, but it moved me. My aunt cried. That made me really feel like I was making the best decision for me.

I cried when I tried on a ball gown I was obsessed with. I did the whole "It's out of budget but can I just...?" I still think about it. It was pale blue, lace, and tulle

I liked my wedding dress and I was excited when I found it. It just def wasn't my dream dress.

I'm not a very emotional person, especially around lots of people so I did not cry.

I knew it was the one because it was the only one I could see myself wearing when I closed my eyes and thought of marrying my H.

I cried after trying on 8 dresses lol. I didn’t realize it was 8 until after one of my bridesmaids sent pics of myself in all 8 dresses. The last dress ended up being the one. I cried because my bridesmaid and aunts were crying and also because the moment made me think of my mom, who is deceased.

I didn't cry at first... but then I put the veil on and OMG, rivers were coming down my face. My bridesmaid and my future MIL were both dabbing their eyes too!

So, weirdly, I got all weepy for a dress that I subsequently decided against, but I did not actually tear up when I tried on The Right Dress. The one that made me weepy was the last dress I tried on at the last of 3 shops I had gone to that day. I was SO tired that I think I was super-susceptible to the effects of the consultant dimming the lights and I thought "YES! THIS IS IT!"

My mom, wisely, suggested I wait until the next morning to order the dress (instead of ordering right that instant), and by the next day I realized I hadn't even especially liked this dress until the "mood lighting" was applied. Also I woke up dreaming of a completely different dress... which also turned out to not be The Right Dress in the end.

There was this other dress that I had pinned like 8 times on Pinterest but that none of the shops had a sample for, and eventually my mom was like "Seriously, you keep showing the consultants THAT dress as your ideal -- just ask them to order a sample so you can try THAT dress already." They ordered the sample. I came in to try it on. I was all smiles and never wanted to ever take it off as long as I lived and THAT was The Right Dress.

Thank you, Cara!! Yes, I absolutely love it. It's too big even though it was a special order. So I go for alterations soon. Its a pale pink ballgown. Just what I wanted. ❤

The pale blue gown sounds absolutely breathtaking. I'd wanted a pale blue gown because my sweet mother, who has passed, wore a blue gown. I thought it would be a nice tribute. My salon didn't show me one item in blue, although I requested it, and when I put on this pale pink ballgown that looks like a cake topper, I had tears. I'm sure your gown is gorgeous!! I'm sorry it's not your dream dress, though. Thank you for sharing.

I didn’t cry over the dress, but I knew it was the right dress because I didn’t want to take it off!

I am a cryer though, and other things have already had the tears going with wedding planning. Guaranteed I’ll cry on our wedding day before the ceremony even starts 😂

I didn't cry initially, but my hands started shaking and my heart was racing. I couldn't stop running the lace through my fingers. It was like a fairy tale. Seeing the look of awe in my mom's face said it all too. Then when I was about to say "yes to the dress" the consultant had me close my eyes and picture my big day, my FH and how he's going to react to me in my gown, and I started to bawl like a baby at that point. Not everyone cries, but you certainly know when it's THE dress.

I always thought that when I found my dress, I'd start sobbing and crying and would be a total mess.

I wasn't. I knew the dress was for me, everyone said I was just glowing when I put it on, and I did tear up a tiny bit, but I didn't cry!
