i can't wait to breathe

Futuremrsm, on January 27, 2020 at 2:59 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10
This is really just a rant post because I am so overly stressed. Currently I am working full time at a job I absolutely hate (I dont have anyone assigned to train me and it makes me feel stupid and clueless 40 hours a week) on top of that I am in my last semester of college which is full time. FH and I were recently actively looking for a house, until we got into a car accident on new years eve and our car was totaled, so we had to dip into our house fund to buy another since we are a one car household. Then his cousin decided to rush to get married so we had to buy plane tickets and a suit for FH which also hurt our pockets. On top of all of this we are planning a wedding! I'm done school in may in which I get a raise at work once I complete my internship, so we can stop slightly struggling financially, but I cant wait to stop focusing on school and be able to put more effort into wedding planning. I just feel like I always have a million things to do and never get a second to relax and breathe. I graduate in May so let's hope I can relax then.

It sounds like you have a lot going on. Try to take a few minutes each day for yourself. Take a walk, read a book or even take a hot bath. Self care is so important. You will get through all of this and before you know it your wedding will be here and you can celebrate! Positive thoughts coming your way.

You sound busy for sure! Praying for you that time goes by quickly & you graduate soon. It will all be worth it Smiley smile I understand the struggle of having a million things going on at once for sure. My husband and I had to learn to take a few minutes every day for ourselves whether it was yoga, meditation, or whatever to help us with self care!

We actually sat down last night and put all work aside to just watch a movie and cuddle. It was relaxing. I told myself I'm going to try meditation as well to see if it helps. Thank you!

I'm glad you did that! We do yoga together every night. I have chronic back pain and my husband goes to the gym and lifts heavy weights several times a week, so we really need it from a body perspective for the stretching. But it's also morphed into a quiet time we can spend together away from phones & computers! Whatever works!

I totally understand, I was in my last semester when we were engaged. It got better for a little but we just bought a house so it is completely insane right now. We've just finished inspections, appraisal, signing a bunch of papers for the loan. We are moving in 3 weeks, one week after that is a bridal shower where i live, then 3 weeks from that is another bridal shower with the FH family in another state, and one month after that is the wedding. We got so much to do and paying for everything is extremely stressful at the moment. I am very excited for all the showers, house, and wedding but I cannot wait until a few of them are done with. Sorry you are stressing so much. What helps me is just taking on one thing at a time. When i look at the overall picture it gets me in such a panic.

Our original plan was to buy a house once I get my raise, but were probably pushing it off until after the wedding. I'm too stressed already and the house buying process is in no way fun. Good luck with your new home!!

Thanks! We were going to get the house after the wedding but with the apartment we currently live at it wasn't going to work out the way we were hoping for, so that definitely pushed us to do that sooner, but I would wait until after if that is a possibility. One less thing to stress about. Good luck with everything also!

Oh man sounds like there's a lot happening in your life. Don't forget to take some time to breathe and practice self care. It doesn't even need to be a long time to give yourself a break. It could even just be taking a minute to just take deep breaths and collect your thoughts.

Oh Wow. I am really sorry all of this has happened to you. It is really hard to predict the future, that is why is always nice to have an emergency fund. FH & I have ran into some financial hiccups as well. It is a lot to handle, but In the end you will be able to finally breathe and enjoy your wedding day. Thats what I am praying for myself.
