i can't be the only one!

Tiffany, on October 26, 2019 at 10:00 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
So, I studied photography in college and have a digital media degree. I don't have my own business, dont think I'm quite ready for that yet. I love taking detail/artsy shots of things as well as candids of people and events.

I'm getting married in almost 5 months. I've booked my wedding photographer and I know she'll do great! However I'm just realllyyy struggling with the thought of having this super cool life event and not having my own camera with me. I'm super tempted to have my own at the reception. I know it's dumb cause the day if I'll probably be so overwhelmed and so busy talking and eating! All the same part of my brain just wants to have my own camera there just in case a good opportunity arises.
I can't be the only photographer bride that has had this struggle before 😂

Hahah I can’t relate as I’m not a photographer but trust me, you’ll be so busy you won’t even notice/have time! Also, if you bring your camera then it’s just another thing you have to remember to pick up before you head in your merry way!

I feel this! I'm not having a traditional wedding, instead eloping and did hire a photographer, however, I'm bringing my camera along and will most likely take lots of detail shots around our cabin of my dress/flowers/jewelry. I just can't help it! Lol

I'm not a photographer so i can't relate, i left my phone in the hotel room and had 0 cameras with me. what i can tell you is that unless you give your camera to someone else, you aren't going to find time to take photos. everyone wants to dance with you, drink with you, talk, take pictures of their own, you won't find time to just be by yourself and get some good shots. i think it would be cool to have, as long as you trust someone else enough to take them for you.

One of my closest friends is a professional photographer, and she actually felt the exact opposite haha. She was so glad to be able to just enjoy her wedding for what it was instead of stressing out about capturing all the right moments (she does a lot of wedding photography). She just let herself be present and really soak it all in!
