I brought my dress home today!

That's super exciting!! Congratulations!

Congratulations! I got to bring home my dress immediately because I bought it at a sample sale, but it was with my seamstress for the past two months and is finally home again! I think I put it on around 10 times in the year between buying it and taking it to get altered.

Yay!! I am actually picking up mine tomorrow! At first it seemed like a pain in the butt (the boutique is 3 1/2 hours away), but now that it’s tomorrow, I am so excited!! Did the shop you got your dress from give you instructions on how to store it? I have heard a lot of conflicting advice on here.

So exciting!! Honestly the only thing that’s kept me from trying mine on everyday is because I can’t zip it up on my own so it isn’t as fun half unzipped. LOL

My boutique is two hours away so I totally understand! She just told me to keep it in the bag and in a dark closet. Mine has cap sleeves, so she showed me how to places the sleeves so that the hanger isn't stretching them or creating "peaks" in the fabric. The bottom of it is kind of in a big ball on the floor right now, so I am going to buy a hook tomorrow to put higher on the wall so it's off the ground when it's hanging. Have fun tomorrow!

I got to bring my dress home recently. It was so exciting, then I had to take it to the seamstress. I had it for 3 whole days. I won’t have it back again until a week or 2 before the wedding. It’s probably better that I don’t have it, I was constantly checking it and worrying about it while it was here.

Yay! That's fantastic! I was one of those brides too! That closet was off limits to anyone else and I tried my dress on several times before and after alterations.
I say, enjoy putting it on as many times as you want. It's a very special thing and important to you.

I haven’t put mine on but I have opened the bag and touched it a few times to calm me down and bring me back to earth.
It’s been hanging in the closet since February. Alterations are in a month and the wedding is in 90 days!
