I am very pale.

Daniel And Belle, on August 2, 2017 at 10:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Okay, I am EXTREMELY pale. We have not decided on colors and I want paler colors for the overall theme but I look nude when I wear white. So. I am struggling to pick colors specifically due to this issue. I just want some advice on what I should do to narrow down colors or just go with a white dress anyway.

    How about champagne or blush?

Heyo! Fellow pale person. I had the same concern, but I was much less worried when I tried on wedding dresses in ivory. From what I've seen here, it seems to be very flattering for this skin tone (and most others). I don't think you need to worry about your wedding colors complementing your skin tone, but be mindful of what will flatter your bridesmaids when picking their dress color.

@VickiD, I worry those are still too pale? And since it is a bit pinky it will make my outrageous freckles more prominent. As if they need the help.

@Sally, maybe. I have not gone to try on any dresses yet. This is based off past experience. But I see what you mean.

    Thank you, Both!

Ivory works very well for pale or even an off white.

I tried on two amazing dresses that had an undertone of pale blue. You may want to try that I believe they were Maggie Sottero dresses

I wouldn't do champagne. Blush could work depending on your undertones (looks horrible on me). I would just try a few different colors at the dress store and take pictures in good lighting and see how you look. But I think ivory or an off white as PP mentioned is going to be a good option.

I second Maggie Sottero. I feel I am very pale without a tan and my wedding is in November. I ended Up with an ivory dress with champagne overlay and it had a very cool tone as opposed to red/pinkish.

I have zero advice, but this is my favorite subject line. Just a declarative sentence that you're very pale! I'm very pale too. I went to the beach and keep telling people I got a tan. They're like, "No. Now you're just normal."

I am a ginger. So, I do not tan. I just burn, freckle up, and become pale again.

Jealous of you girls who can pull off champagne. I had to wear a champagne bridesmaids dress one year and oof. It really washed me out. I also have lighter blonde hair, so that could have had something to do with it.
