i am second guessing my veil

Okay first of all I had this whole post typed out and then I went to my photo album to edit the pictures and open the app again and it erased everything I typed out. So annoying.

Okay about my veil. Im wearing an American wedding dress with an Indian scarf as a veil. My dress has a lot of beading in it and is actually sparkly even though it doesn’t show in pictures. I have had the veil for over a year and for some reason starting to second guess it.
My colors for the wedding are ivory, gold, and purple. My jewelry will be gold so I love love the heavy gold border on the scarf but Im doubting the body of it. It has gold throughout so Im wondering if I should keep the one I have or order a new one with the gold border but a plain white netting throughout instead.
What do you think? Does it clash enough to order a new one or is it okay? A new one would cost about $50. I could use the old one with my 2nd outfit (reception outfit) i am second guessing my veil 1

I LOVE that veil with the necklace but it does overpower your dress. You look majestic, but thr veil is a little busy compared to your dress.

Easy solution- add a lacy gold belt that matches the trim on your veil. I would switch to a veil without the gold dots. And can you add a little gold trim at the neckline?

I think the only change I would make is order a new veil with same gold border but plain white netting (without the gold dots). But im torn on whether I should do it or not. Because I feel it does slightly clash but at the same time Im not sure if its too much or just enough.

This was in a review on etsy for the scarf. Its nice to visualize it on others. But the difference is her dress seems less busy than mine. And mine is not as white as hers. My dress is Ivory with a Sand underlay.

Im still torn. Im indecisively decisive. I dont know what I want until I have made my mind up. Then I know exactly what I want.

I forgot to mention those “polka dots” aren’t actually polka dots. They are little tiny mirrors. A lot of indian clothes have mirror work in them.

Wow...your dress is gorgeous and you look absolutely beautiful in it!! I do agree with you where you mentioned the bride in the Etsy review picture has less going on in her gown. In the pic of you from the back....you're not able to see the beautiful design of your gown through the mirrors. IMO going with scarf #2 (no mirror dots) would blend better with your gown. Also, your gown hugs you beautifully, so I'm not sold on the sash idea either. The border of the scarf from your head down to where the dress begins to flow away from your body is breathtaking! Adding something else for the eye to stop and take in seems to take away from the lace design on the gown and the beautiful gold border on the scarf. I pray that all these comments doesn't leave you even more flustered. I see your wedding is in October so you have a little time to sit on this and not rush into a decision. Wishing you all the best. Thanks for your honest opinion. I am even further leaning towards a 2nd veil with no mirrors. I have messaged the seller (because to remove the mirrors would be a custom order). Still deciding on the sash. I agree, beading is already very heavy throughout the dress so a sash may not even sit flat correctly.

I'd say the beading on the veil itself on the body is a bit overwhelming for your dress because like you said the dress has a lot of detail but you can't see a lot of it from the back because the veil is so beaded. if you can have just the gold border and a plain body I think it'll suit the dress much more.

I think adding a matching sash will tie it in a lot better and make you stop second guessing it. The veil is beautiful and makes you look like royalty. keep it!!
