How’s everyone holding up?

These are tough times for everyone. But I’m just wondering how has this time been for your relationship? I feel like I’ve become more sensitive and all up in my feels, sometimes I just wanna hang out with my FH and talk. He’s an essential worker (sorta imo) and I had to transition to working from home. And I’m a pretty social person so he’s really the only person I get socialize with at the end of the day, but sometimes it just seems like he’s super annoyed with my presence and just want to put all his focus on video games. I totally understand it’s like a release after a long day at work and I definitely give him his space, but I just feel like I’m being pushed away or he doesn’t want me around him. And then I get all upset and I try to voice my feelings and I just don’t feel like I’m being validated. And of course to top it off, COVID has made our wedding date soooo uncertain. Our state reopened, but our venue hasn’t and I haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone and we’re about 45 days away. This turned into a vent sesh sorry 😩

Ohhhhh dear god do I feel you!!!!!
Only my FH is working out! He’s also an “essential worker”- he’s an accident attorney.

I am stuck at home, have been since March 6. And now can’t even get into car to drive because my left hip is torn badly and I’ve told to stay off of it until they can do surgery- like late June or July!
He is cranky AF. So am I. Hoping that something goes back to normal soon! A mani/pedi would be great right about now! As would his “darling” 23yo daughter going off on dates!

Our wedding was supposed to be September 19th. But looks like we have to postpone it.... I’m NOT okay with that..... As my parents health is poor..... We are supposed to get married in Upstate NY- at a casino, it’s a destination wedding for our friends- as we live in VA- he works in MD, and have some family in FL, MA, NY & the Carolinas.
All my vendors are booked and deposits put down on, girls have their gowns and proposal boxes, I’ve got my gown and veil/tiara and a few I underthings.... Still a Ton of DIY- can’t even do it bc I am in VA & it is in NY! Sigh.
Best of luck. And I listen well.

    Girl, I totally understand.
My FH is a police officer and I’m an elementary school librarian. It’s been a rough 2 months for me because I have no separation from work and home due to virtual learning and the only outside human interaction I get is at the grocery store.

We had to have a conversation about a lot of the same things you’re struggling with too. But I think it really helped us both see each other’s perspective in the midst of this craziness.
Just know you aren’t alone! Our wedding is scheduled for November 21st and I’m trying to stay positive that it will happen without incident. 🤞🏼

You're not alone!! Adjusting to new schedules and routines can definitely affect your relationship! The kinds of fights we're all having with our partners right now can sound so trivial and bizarre - but our worlds and social interactions have shrunk drastically due to to social distancing! Right now I've promised to work on not snapping at my husband, especially in our first conversation of the day - and my husband has promised to work on remembering that even though I'm working from home, I have a job and work commitments! 🤦Smiley laugh

I think you've taken the right steps so far - just keep being patient and understanding with each other and voicing your concerns! Smiley heart
