How warm are lace sleeves?

Paige, on October 14, 2019 at 9:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
I am getting married in August 2020. I love the look of lace sleeves, but August in Michigan is hot. How warm are lace sleeves? im Not completely attached to them so if they are rather warm I won’t be heart broken, but they are so pretty

I am also getting married in August 2020, and was absolutely set on sleeves until i tried on gowns. Now I’m getting a strapless ballgown! My advice is to be open to lots of different styles because you’ll never know what speaks to you! 🥰

It depends on what the lace is made of. Cotton lace is much more breathable than less expensive nylon lace.

I can’t speak to this, but once I get hot and sweaty, I would be ripping those lace sleeves off! My anxiety would not be able to deal! Can’t wait to see what you choose though!

I wouldn’t recommend it. I tried dresses in a boutique with AC and was hot. I’m sure was the in and out of dresses but a wedding day gets hectic. Some long sleeve are more breathable than others because the mesh is thinner but it can get hot for sure!

Although lace might be thin and breathable, the mere idea of having something on my arms would automatically make me feel hot if the weather is warm.

I got married this past August in NJ. My dress was a sleeveless halter and for the (indoor) ceremony, I wore a jacket with full lace sleeves and buttons up the back. It looked beautiful - but it wasn't very comfortable. It wasn't so much that I was hot, just very restrictive feeling.

Honestly, the lace is pretty sheer! Get long sleeves if you want them. Make sure you can move your arms though. Some sleeves aren’t as flexible or stretchy as others, you might want to dance or hug guests.
