How to write answers to my questions down

Kristina, on July 23, 2019 at 5:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
So I’m going on a venue tour this weekend and I’m not sure how to record all the answers to my questions. I type pretty slow on my phone so I’d be distracted while he was answering trying to get everything down but I also don’t want to lug a huge notebook around. Do y’all have any suggestions for how to record all of the answers?

So my husband has more time than I do and so he had to deal with the venue in person with all MY questions aha. And so he ended up typing or writing out my questions and then the venue manager would literally write the answers on the paper to each question ahah

I would just bring a notebook. Many venues will give you a brochure or print out anyway so you will be carrying something. You could have all your detailed questions written out and that way you will be prepared to write the answer, probably only yes or no. I would also check with the venue's website, yelp, facebook to see if someone has already answered any of your questions and then take the time when you are there to read over the brochure and contract carefully. Many of your standard questions should be answered.

I carried a small notebook with me that fit in my purse. I had all my questions already written out so I could quickly write "yes" or "no" or any other details specific to that venue.

I would suggest just doing an audio recording on your phone! Let the person you're talking with know and I'm sure they would understand.

This! I wrote out my essentials and mostly yes or no questions so it would be quick.

I had a small notebook where I wrote down the questions I felt most important or couldn’t find an answer on already that way I could easily jot down a quick answer. Didn’t take any time or focus away! And at the end of the meeting, they asked again if we had any questions and at that point, I was able to review my questions/answers and ask any I may have missed or clarify anything.

I made a “worksheet” that had my questions written out for every venue I wanted to tour and I carried a clipboard with my “worksheet” so I could write down the answers.

I carried a small notebook with me for vendor meetings so that I had all my questions ready to go and could take notes. Just bring something that can easily fit in your purse!

I brought a binder with me but honestly the venue had a nice folder already set up with literally every question I had written down so I didn't need to do that.

I brought my planner with me. Most venues gave out these little books with info in them. I wrote my questions down before hand. Wrote answers down afterwards.
