How to Walk Down the Aisle?

Noel, on November 13, 2019 at 7:24 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
We’ve decided to have our ceremony in the backroom of a small restaurant that seats 45 people. It won’t be a long walk, I need some ideas on how to do my walk in, since its such a short walk should it be with or without my dad.. should i play music.. my dad and I are both super awkward so that should be taken into consideration lol any ideas would be helpful, I hate having attention and we are only doing a small wedding dinner because of our families and Though we are very happy and excited My FH and I are both extremely anxious about the ceremony part and having all eyes on us. It will only be 15-20 minutes long. Help!

Thanks!

You can really do it any way you want. Some people are walked in by both parents, some by just one, some by someone else, and some by no one. And it can be done with or without music. Whether it's in the back room of a restaurant or a cathedral really doesn't matter with respect to your choices.

I think is up to you but you can do a traditional walk. It won’t be bad because is short but you still have to enter somehow and I’ll prefer to walk with my dad then alone specially if I’m anxious. No one looks at the dad but you’re not alone. I least I felt that way.

We had two ceremonies. One with just our sons, daughter-in-law, and two best friends, we walked the "aisle" together without music for that one. The second was a more traditional ceremony with friends and family and an actual aisle, we were each escorted by our sons with music. You can do it any way you want. Whatever makes you and those with you comfortable is the way to do it. Happy planning.

    Hey Noel!

As the pps mentioned, you can totally do whatever you are comfortable with. Would you like your father to walk you down the aisle? Do you think having music would draw some attention away from you, or attract more?

Just keep in mind that your guests are not there to make you feel uncomfortable but to celebrate your relationship and support you.
