How to travel with headpiece/veil?

Heather, on September 16, 2019 at 10:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
I remember reading somewhere that a hard container is best for storing and traveling with your headpiece and veil. I'm getting married in Jamiaca and my headpiece is intricate but also flexible. The strange thing is that I googled and cant find anything about containers for those things. Any suggestions?

How big is the headpiece? Would a Tupperware work? Not at all glamorous but no one will really see it! Wrap it in tissue, pack it in the Tupperware and safely stow it in your carry-on? I'm always looking for things around the house to serve different purposes, given how expensive weddings end up being!

Thanks Jennifer. It's like a flexible headband but I'm trying to save space and keep it from getting crushed by accident.

I agree that a Tupperware-like container sounds like it could work well - there are a ton of various sizes, and the hard container would help it from being crushed.

Thank you. Sounds like a good idea. Should I store my fingertip veil in there as well or include in the garment bag with my dress?

I would worry that the veil might get wrinkled, but maybe if you wrap it in tissue and carefully fold it so it fits, then steam it when you get to your destination?

Hi, I think the Tupperware idea is great and does not take up so much space!! how many days after you arrive are you getting married? I had a completely wrinkled veil and hung it for 2 days it became wrinkle free.. also maybe your hotel offers a steaming service as many do offer dry cleaning/laundry
