How to spread the details of rehearsal dinner?

Lolerskates84, on May 25, 2016 at 1:24 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

Is this done as an insert in the invitations? Or word of mouth? Or email/evite?

Word of mouth or an invite separate from the wedding invite. ETA: Separate, not superstore. Lol!

My FILs are doing an evite but I feel like word of mouth works fine too!

Word of mouth or Minted.com has pretty e-vites that you can send out for free.

We just sent an evite out - but we're only 16 including significant others, and three will not likely attend because our rehearsal is at 10AM Friday morning so we're doing lunch on a Friday during business hours.

My FMIL wants to do an invite because it's fun and she's excited. I am fine with that, we will then spread the word about the time of the rehearsal itself by calling/texting after the invites get to people.

I am mailing invites. Being that everyone is from out of town I wanted to make sure they had the actual address of the restaurant and church. If everyone is familiar with the location then I think word of mouth is fine.

ETA: I got the invites from Vistaprint during a 50% off sale so they were under $10.

I sent out the info by email. It was just the wedding party and our parents, and I had been communicating important info for the wedding via email anyways so that's how I invited them. Mine was more casual though. Wed did the rehearsal then all went out for dinner at a nearby restaurant.

I did a facebook invite for the rehearsal dinner. It was a super casual dinner of pizza and beer at my house, so I didn't think we needed to do a formal invitation.

I can't decide if I want to do email invites or have an insert in the invitations.

So far it's been word of mouth. The last wedding I was informed about it the day of via text.

We're putting an extra card in the wedding invitations for those that are invited to the rehearsal dinner with my FMIL's contact info on it for responses. The only reason we're doing this is because the invitation package we chose comes with a million accompanying cards so it was just super easy to make one of them for the rehearsal dinner. Plus we are inviting about 80 people to the rehearsal dinner so word of mouth would get tricky with that many guests. I've been invited to rehearsal dinners before by word of mouth and also by mailed invitation though, so I think it's just whatever works best for you!

We haven't even decided details for rehearsal dinner, so it will be word of mouth/calling and texting.
