Grammatically speaking, it's two thousand twenty one.

Technically, "and" indicates a decimal point, but everyone knows what you mean if you say it. Same with the other one -- twenty twenty-one is technically two separate numbers (20 and 21). If you're not going formal, it doesn't really matter! 😊

Two Thousand Twenty One is the correct way regardless of formality of your event.

Agreed! I'd go with "Two Thousand Twenty-One" or "Two Thousand Twenty One"!

I've heard that compound numbers like twenty-one should always be hyphenated, but I also think the invitation wording looks a little cleaner without the hyphen!

Grammatically speaking, both numbers should be hyphenated. "Two-thousand twenty-one"

When one adjective (numbers count as adjectives) modifies another adjective, it needs a hyphen Smiley smile (sorry to nerd out on you, I am an English teacher and love all things language).

Samantha - I love that you're a grammar nerd (although I'm now nervous of all the mistakes I may be saying/spelling as I write this - lol) - I've been looking for someone to get a "professional" opinion.

I belong to a Women's Club (a group of 60 women with a common goal) and there's a debate as to whether it should be spelled with an "a" or "e":

    -OR-

Thank you, in advance, for your advice!

Salem Area Women’s Club - it’s for all the women, not just for one woman.
