How to rid of shoulder marks so I can actually be excited to wear my dress

Went to Kleinfelds back in June & said yes to a strapless Lazaro gown. Now I am starting to regret it because I have these weird greenish dark strap marks on my shoulder. I googled and found nothing about these marks...just the red indented marks from tight bra straps. I don't have mine tight...

I googled and found nothing about these marks...just the red indented marks from tight bra straps. I don't have mine tight because there's not much to hold up heh. Does anyone have any suggestions? I feel like I can't wear this dress with those fugly marks. Smiley sad adding a photo of the marks I'm talking about while wearing the dress.

I went to the dermatologist & she said it is hyper pigmentation & looks like the straps caused irritation. So she sent prescriptions in of cortisone & a salicylic acid exfoliant.

Also said to wear a strapless bra for now or those pastie petals. I ended up going to a boutique & getting fitted for one.

So..glad it's not bruising. And hopefully it'll start to go away & be mostly or completely gone by the time June comes around. Thanks everyone for your comments !

Will do! She said to follow those prescriptions for 6-8 weeks & they're going to call to see if it did anything. Hopefully will. If not, they said then come in again & might have to prescribe fading cream.

Skin cancer is serious and kills people. It's irresponsible to go around telling people that there is a "safe" way to tan. Always wear sunscreen and avoid the sun. Period. #paleandproud

OP - I hope the dermatologist can help! Do you wear a tight sports bra when working out at all? I know that those sometimes give me even worst indents then my regular bra.

ETA: just saw your update @OP, glad you see that she has some solutions for you!

I don't wear sports bras. I wear those bombshell bras from VS...:x I thought 32As were my size. But today when I got fitted for the strapless, I ended up with a 32C which I never thought was possible...but it was comfortable.

The lady also showed me this bra with the softest straps ever! But my size wasn't there so she'll email me when it comes in which is fine cause I'm going to take a break from straps to let my skin breathe & heal.

No I went to an actual bra/lingerie boutique in NJ. The owner herself fitted me. She's been in the business for over 30 years. I was doing some research last night cause I wanted to go somewhere with experience.

Apply a fade cream to the dark lines on your shoulders

Yeah. It is crazy. Never thought to get fitted for a bra. She had me try out a 32B as well but it kind of pinched on the sides of the cups so once I put the C back on I didn't feel that anymore.

    Thanks, Emma L Smiley smile!

Hey Vanessa, so did the dermatologist prescriptions work? have your dark lines faded away? I know it's been 5 years since you posted this but I actually have the same problem and currently looking for a solution. Thanks in advance for your help!!
Hope you had a great wedding tho Smiley smile
