How to remove acrylic nails?

Brittny, on March 26, 2017 at 8:45 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Had my nails done for the first time a couple weeks ago. How do I take them off? Can I go into another nail salon to have them removed if its easier? Or do I have to remove them?

Go back to your salon, they need to file them down, it'll be a small fee (think $10-15 range). Don't try to remove them yourself on your first time or you will be left with no nails!

Yes you can go to a nail shop and have them removed... or you can very carefully clip them off yourself. Just use the pointy side of a pair of nail clippers and start where the air bubbles are and gently lift.

If you try to remove yourself you could seriously damage your existing nail. Have a shop remove them.

Go to the salon or soak them in ACETONE nail polish remover

Any time the salon did it for me, the my soaked a cotton ball in acetone and then wrapped it around each nail with tin foil. Easy enough to do at home. Let us sit for about 10 minutes, then start scraping/clipping.

Beauty stores sell a protein nail hardener (looks like clear polish). Get that and put it on your nails every couple of days to help them grow back.

Trust me, don't try to take them off yourself. I did it with two or three of them because they were loose, and let me tell you, it hurt like hell, and damaged my nails more than what they already were. Go back to the salon.

Acrylic is rough almost obsolete these days in NJ .... if u cannot go to salon do this

    Remove any polish

Lightly file to rough them up

    Soak cotton in acetone

Wrap balls of acetone cotton on fingers with foil

    Wrap hands in HOT TOWEL

remove after 5 min or so

    File

    Repeat

You may need help lol also don't go to the bare nail leave some ! Trust me ... file nails short shape them but don't be scared to leave a little on as long as it's smooth polish over it
