How to reduce cleavage

Claudia, on March 21, 2019 at 12:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
I bought this dress because I just couldn’t stop thinking about it . But my mother wasn’t to happy with it due to the top showing too much . I will add straps but it doesn’t hide the fact that my boobs will be shown I guess. I’m a D cup and I’m not spilling out of it but I mean they are there lol my best friend didn’t like it either so ... idk. I love the dress and usually when I’m not comfortable in something I know right away and this wasn’t the case . Also I’m not the one to be showing cleavage at all either ... any ideas on how to reduce my cleavage ? Lol idk 😞

Idk if you can. Maybe have a seamstress add an illusion neckline. Straps will only help to keep it up, it won't reduce cleavage because of the sweetheart neckline.

You could add mesh to it, or a panel. But if you wore it and loved it I would honestly just leave it alone it doesn't look too showy to me.

You'll completely change the dress if you do anything to it so what was the point in buying it really?

The dress I bought had a sweetheart neckline like that and I paid extra to have it modified so it wasn’t so low.

I think the way this dress is set up, it will not be as much cleavage as your mom thinks. It won't be pushing you boobs up or anything. I think it's fine how it is. Maybe add straps if you want the extra support, but I think it's a gorgeous dress.

I would see if a seamstress can add some illusion fabric to the cleavage area.

You could add couple layers of illusion mesh in between, it will not reduce the cleavage but it will make it look less obvious.
I don’t think adding straps will do much except for adding support, if that’s what you need. If anything it will push your boobs higher & make cleavage more pronounced. Talk to a good seamstress, I’m sure they will have creative solutions.
Also about your mom, I’m a B cup & my dress has illusion mesh all the way up to my neck & my mom still think it’s too much cleavage, as she always does 😂

Keep it as you love it. Your best friend and your mother will not be wearing it so they don’t have to love it. If you are comfortable that’s all that matters. It’s beautiful!

Hi, I believe you can build up the dress and raise the neckline. You can also add some material in between the chest, extra lace, etc.... lastly, you can purchase something along the lines of this:

I'm sorry I don't have any advice, but all I want to say is that dress is GORGEOUS!!! What designer is that?? I am having the hardest time finding a dress that I like. Nothing is what I envision for what I want.

I think it is perfect the way it is... but if you really wanted to cover the ladies a little more, I know you can raise the neck line on a dress, or maybe see if you/seamstress can find a matching lace and put that in the gap? It wouldn't completely close it up but it might tone down the boobage just enough to make the naysayers more comfortable.

I don't have any advice either, except to say moms will always want their daughters to show less cleavage. But if you're a D cup, she knows you have a lot of natural cleavage. I think your dress is absolutely STUNNING and if you feel beautiful in it, and aren't bothered by the amount of cleavage, go for it!! Mom will get over it when she sees you all made up on the day!
