How to pick beach Groomsmen Attire?

How to pick beach Groomsmen Attire? 1How to pick beach Groomsmen Attire? 2

We are getting married May 15, so we are about a month and a half away with no groomsmen attire. The wedding is on the beach, so we aren't doing full on suits, but I'm not even sure where to go to find groomsmen attire for a simple look! I was thinking to do something like these photos, but I don't even know where to start. Would going to Kohls or JC Penney save us any money, or should we go to an actual suit store and leave out extra options?

Second question, should I have one of my bridesmaids come and bring her dress to help us match it? Our boys are 100% clueless with what to wear and we are scared the colors won't match if they get the wrong shade.. Is that tacky for the bride and a bridesmaid to go?

My best friend got married in the DR and we wore aqua blue short dresses and the guys all wore grey linen pants with white shirts, no tie. Very laid back and the photos came out beautiful against the sandy beach and water.

To start: How many groomsmen do you have and do they all live close-ish to each other? If you have a lot, and some live far away, a Mens Warehouse will be able to guarantee a consistent look because they have serial numbers for their clothing pieces and stores all over the country. If you have a small amount and they all live close by, then you might be able to get away with going to JC Penney or Kohls. I do worry about their stock and sizing though. I'd check around to see the best price.

I went for my FH's and my brother's tux fittings. I wanted to make sure the formality of his tux fit with the wedding. (He wanted a full plaid suit for prom, if that tells you anything.) At the least, you could give the guys swatches so they can color match in the store themselves or have an employee help them.

We have four groomsmen and four bridesmaids and they live scattered within 2 hours! We are planning a Saturday to go and get it all done, so you're right Mens Warehouse is probably the safest! I got the bridesmaid dresses from Amazon and they look amazing, but i don't have a swatch.. Is it weird to have the bridesmaid come with the dress and her have it on to stand next to them for color match?

Or is that weird.. haha I've never heard of someone doing that, so I'm afraid we are going to look nuts in there.

We are getting married on the beach in Mexico. Although we won't be having a bridal party, my fiance is planning on wearing gray linen pants and a white-ish (I'm wearing nude/ivory) shirt. No tie. Potentially a gray vest. Honestly I dislike khaki on the beach because I feel it blends in too well to the sand and you lose the party/person. While I agree that it would be appropriate for you to be present when choosing what the party is going to wear, I don't believe it's necessarily appropriate for a bridesmaid to attend. Not everything needs to be matchy matchy, unless you're into that stuff.

Beach wedding here. Ours is a super relaxed morning ceremony. Our guys are wearing ivory linen shirts with khaki slacks.

My thought is either go to a paint store and find a paint chip that's closest or say "eff it" and bring the dress. Don't make her wear it though.

You're paying a lot of money and spending a lot of time planning for your wedding. If you want things to match, then you should do what you can to have them match.

We are getting married on the beach too so I'm interested in hearing what others say. Our wedding is still a year and a half away so we are in the middle of planning. We are thinking to have the guys in grey with white shirts. I don't personally like the vest look so they are going to do suspenders and purple ties for the GM and Purple bow tie fo my FH. Oh and we are all also going barefoot!!!

Depending on the color of the BM dresses, you likely want them to coordinate, not match. Men's suits are almost always in neutral colors, so they all will coordinate. It's a matter of personal taste.
Macys designer suit sale just started today. You can buy suit separates (vest and pants) for less than renting .

For my beach wedding I am doing all nude and pastel colors for everyone else to wear. More of a casual attire rather than dressed up. In my perspective I feel that the bride and groom should stand out the best. My groom will be wearing Ivory and White with a touch of blush pink . While my wedding dress is Ivory and nude with a touch of platinum.

BTW don't stress about! I am sure you will find something that you love. Everything will all fall into place.

The local tux rental store where we went rented linen suits for destination/beach weddings. I would look into local shops if they don't want to buy their outfits. Even if they don't live close by, they can go to any tailor and get themselves measured and then call with their measurements.
