How to Mark RSVP Cards

Erin, on May 10, 2011 at 3:51 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

How should I go about marking my RSVP cards in case I receive a blank one back (I heard it's not that uncommon)? Do you write their name in small letters on the other side or something like that?

Thanks for the help!

Most people put a number someplace on the back that corresponds to a name. It also will help you if you are missing RSVP's to know who has not yet sent theirs in.

That makes perfect sense. I didn't really want to write a name on the back, so the number is a much better option. Thanks for the response!

I put a 1 on the back of the card and a 1 beside their name on my guest list to keep up with it all :-)

You can also put the name on the RSVP envelope!

I put the stamp and a preprinted address label on the one side, and the names of family on the back. That way I knew right when I got it who it was from.

I did what June2011 did. I just used a fine tipped Sharpie and put the number very small on the back right bottom corner.

I did the same thing only using pencil so it was less visible. I have gotten two RSVP's back blank already and it is a nice backup!
