How to make ceremony arch?

Rachel, on January 31, 2020 at 2:54 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14
Hi, I am getting married this April but stuck with ceremony arch decor. How do people usually do their arch? rent arch from somewhere and have florist to come on the day to decorate? any suggestions of where to rent the arch/arbor? which vendor usually does arch decor? florist?

My venue said that arch can not “render any venue property “. I don’t know how the arch will be installed? use sandbag? My budget for wedding flowers + arch is $1-1.5k.
Any suggestions or advice is highly appreciated!Thank you.
Best,Rachel

We're going to get a kit from Home Depot and build our own a few months before the wedding. We don't want to spend too much on flowers so we'll use a fabric drape to fill it out.

Other couples that I know have had their florist decorate the arch for them.

We rented ours from our local rental place. It’s where we also rented chairs, tables, plates etc. Our florist handled decorating it.

Thank you for reply! I will check out Homedepot then. Did your arch just stand on the ground on its own or need sandbag to fix it?

    Thank you for your reply!
Does the rental place deliver on the day of the wedding? and do you need to deliver back on the same day of the wedding? or rental place has staff to take it back?

Yes they delivered everything the day of the wedding. I’m not sure when they picked it up as my wedding planner was in charge of handling all of that, I’m sorry! But I know we didn’t have to bring anything back, the company handled it.

We haven't actually gotten it yet, but it should stand on its own!

Here's one of the options that they offer. I believe you have to order it, as they don't have them in stock on site. They have a lot of nice options!

I am glad I hire coordinator! I will check with my coordinator. Btw, do you tip coordinator? or it’s included in the package price?

Thank you! that’s pretty! I will get a similar one then. I initially wanted to get a circle arch. but they are only available on Etsy and too expensive. I didn’t find a vendor that sells arch with silk flowers on it. I guess I would need to buy silk flowers stripes from Amazon and DIY then.

If you’re using a florist, I would ask if they have access to one. My florist is bringing a circle arch to use for free.

Thank you, I will ask them!
many florists has $1000 minimal order price. So I was worried if getting an arch will cost extra $$.

It totally depends on the florist. I know a lot of people on my local wedding planning groups on Facebook try to sell them after their weddings too.

I saw the rental company has many to choose from and florists often rent them too.

I totally agree - look on Facebook marketplace. I’ve seen some really cute ones for sale, fairly cheap.
