How to List Guest Names on Seating Chart

Hello! I am hoping to save space on my seating chart so that it isn't 100 feet long. If I had, say, 4 or 5 family members with the same last name and they are all seated at the same table, could I just list, e.g., "Jones - Table 7" instead of listing each guest separately? I'd like to hear your thoughts!

Also, would it then be strange to have some listed that way in addition to other names listed as "John Smith - Table 12" and "Jane Smith - Table 3" if there are Smiths at more than one table? Thanks!

You could do something like -
Mr & Mrs John Smith
& Family

I did "Mr and Mrs John Smith and Family" for the few parties I had like that. And it's not weird to have them listed differently if they're different parties.

Oh, thank you! I think it will definitely help to list certain couples as "Mr & Mrs" and throw in the occasional "& Family." I would list everybody individually if I could, but I'm hoping to do a particular DIY chart that has some size constraints. If I can't get that to work, I will have a board printed so I could do any size, but we'll see!
