How to invite for a small wedding

My FH and I decided that we are going to have a very small wedding with 24 people total, and that's including FH and I. Would it be a waste to send invites? I think it would still be cute to send them, maybe make them into favors of some sort? We are not having a destination wedding. We'll be...

My FH and I decided that we are going to have a very small wedding with 24 people total, and that's including FH and I.

Would it be a waste to send invites? I think it would still be cute to send them, maybe make them into favors of some sort? We are not having a destination wedding. We'll be getting married locally.

I'd love some advice about this!

    We are treating our small wedding as if it were a wedding of 200 guests. We're doing formal invitations, favors at the wedding, etc. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by making your invitations into some sort of favor so I would nix that idea before it even starts.

    Definitely take some time and send real invitations.

    I only needed 25 or so invitations. Zazzle is good. I did www.inviteshop.com. Super nice and affordable too.
