My FH and I both have daughters from previous relationships and want our wedding to be focused on the joining of two families instead of two individuals. Instead of having a traditional bridal party, our daughters will walk down the aisle holding hands with us and will stand with us for the ceremony. We are also saying vows to the girls promising to be loving step-parents, having a blended family sand ceremony, and are having them pronounced as sisters after we're pronounced husband and wife. But when it comes to the reception....I am out of ideas. I don't know that I want a family dance with them, I'm envisioning us standing in a strange, swaying circle that will ultimately end up with at least one of the kids arguing and someone stepping all over our dresses and toes. Does anyone have any other ideas to make them feel special during the reception?
