How to Include FSILs

Rita, on March 31, 2020 at 9:07 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 6
Hi! Need opinions! Just picked my wedding party of a total of whooping 9! 3 sisters, 3 childhood best friends and 3 college best friends. My fiancé has 2 sisters I didn’t include but wanted to get ideas from y’all how to make them feel special at our wedding. We are catholic and will have them do readings at the ceremony but wanted to see what other brides did or had ideas! Thanks in advance!

Maybe they can also bring up the Eucharist together.

My fiance just had 1 sister and both our families are super traditional so I had her as a bridesmaid! But I think readings are perfect since it includes them in the day! Having any part will definitely make anyone feel special. Depending on what you're doing about bridal party gifts too, you could also include something small for them or something sentimental about becoming sisters or invite them to get ready with the bridesmaids before the wedding (but I def get that can be awkward so depends on how close you guys are lol)

You can have them them wear a corsage to signify that they’re important and somehow
part of the wedding party. We did this for two of our uncles who are big parts of our lives.

I had two of my sister-in-laws (brother’s fiancé and husband’s sister) as bridesmaids, however, my other brother’s wife is not as close to me. However, I didn’t want her to feel left out the morning of the wedding (since my brother was an usher and doing all the getting ready stuff with the groomsmen) so I had paid to have her makeup and hair done with the rest of my party. Smiley smile

Hi! I’m also catholic and I’ve seen where those two sisters would light up the candles for the unity candle (yours and his/hers), and they can help with passing our favors, carrying gifts from the guests into a back room, and they can help plan your shower.
