How to Hire a Dj?

Obviously, I have searched the vendors on Wedding Wire. I am just not even sure I know what to look for in a DJ? (it's not visual like flowers and cakes and invitations!). To all the other brides out there - what was super important to you about the DJ? What did you make sure to have/not have?

    Look for someone who is professional and has lots of experience. Read LOTS of reviews! Ask other people you know for recommendations. Meet with a few and see who you mesh well with and how you like him/her in person.
