How to handle it all

Haley, on February 5, 2020 at 2:03 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8
I have found that is very hard for me to manage my work life and planning wedding life.
I need to find someway to manage my anxiety and stress. I tried therapy and it was going greattttt and helping a lot but I’m the new year my insurance went up and now my copay is 50$ then it used to be. I just can’t afford to go to therapy every week and pay for it since a lot of money is going to the wedding right now.
Iv tried working out and that helping in the moment.
Im going crazy with stressing over money for the wedding.
Has anyone else went through this? Or going through this now?

Give yourself breaks. Have days where you don't do any wedding planning.

I agree with Melle, definitely take a step back for as many days as you can. I'm only 18 days away and I'm a ball of stress, but I have to give time for myself or I'll go insane. Even if you can't go a full day without wedding planning, set yourself a limit for no more than 1-2 hours a day. Making a list of absolutely everything I have left to do before the wedding (even the small stuff that you don't even think to really put on a todo list) has relaxed me a lot. Seeing it all out in front of me makes me feel like I can actually get it all done, rather than letting it all bounce around in my head.

I certainly have been going through waves of this! We're getting married June 6th then moving out of state by June 30th, and my anxiety has been all OVER the place! I do kickboxing every day at my lunch break and it helps me tremendously. I also will write down all my thoughts in a little black notebook before bed just to get it out so I don't just lay there overthinking. Everything is stressful and expensive, but you'll make it through however you have to!

That’s my problem is I have gave myself to many breaks and no I’m a little over a month away and have soooooo much to do. When I get overwhelmed I just stop doing it and then that stresses me out because it’s still not getting done. I think it’s just the money aspect that really gets to me

I'm going through this now. Our wedding is on the 22nd and I have SO much to do. I have spent so much money. Work is insane right now too. I'm the only one doing what I do as someone just left. I just got promoted. The company is adding new projects left and right. I have no energy to do anything once I get home. I'm stress eating. I'm probably going to end up getting a cold sore. But.. I keep reminding myself that it will be fine. The big stuff is taken care of. If I don't get to the signs and centerpieces it's not going to ruin the day.

    Just remember.. You're getting married!!
